Mentha oil prices descended in Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) by 1.20 % to Rs 1,860 per kg in futures trading on Thursday, as speculators booked profits at the existing levels despite easing demand from consuming industries at the spot markets. Moreover, adequacy in stocks position on higher supplies from key producing belts of Chandausi in U.P spiraled the downtrend.
At the MCX, mentha oil for delivery in January declined by Rs 22.50, or 1.20% to Rs 1,860 per kg in business turnover of sixty lots. Conversely, the oil for delivery in December was trading lower Rs 18.40, or 0.99% to Rs 1,836.10 per kg in 259 lots.
The fall in demand from consuming industries in the physical market against adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from Chandausi in U.P mainly supported on Mentha oil prices at futures trade.
